THE BASICS OF GUITAR PLAYING:
HOW TO TUNE YOUR GUITAR
Hey guys! So everyone one wants to here good music, right? No off-key tones and ear-splitting sounds like that. In order to play good music on any instrument, you have to make sure that it is tuned. In this section, we're gonna learn how to tune our guitar to create the beautiful tunes that your future will love to hear. Well, what are you waiting for? Encore!

First, we need to get our tuner. Check! Next, we also have to know how to use it, otherwise you still won't be able to get your guitar in tune! Now I have a Snark tuner, so I only know how to use the Snark clip-ons. In that way, I'll teach you how to use those types of tuners.
A Snark tuner has buttons on the front, back, and sides of itself, which is why we need to learn what all the different buttons are used for. Let's start with a diagram of the easiest matters:
So the tuner determines how good your guitar is currently in tune so you can tune back to good shape (or is its sound???) After you clip it on to our guitar head, you play each string one at a time and reading the meter on the screen in order to tune it. Based on the Snark tuner manual instructions, it reads that...
"As soon as you play a note, the Snark's color display will indicate the not that you are playing and how close to pitch you are. The left side of the display (red) indicates flat, the right side of the display (yellow) indicates sharp.
If a red needle is lit, it means that the note is played flat. If a yellow needle is lit. the note played is sharp.
You are in tune if the green needle (at center of meter) is lit.
If the green needle is lit and the adjacent red or yellow needle flashes just briefly, it means the note is very slightly out of tune. Adjust instrument pitch just a bit to dial in a perfect tune." (Snark tuner manual)
